📰 Interesting News from the Property World

The Worlds Best 50 Hotels list is out … and the Winner is …

The Big Winner …

Taking the top prize was Passalacqua, a spectacular boutique hotel set on the banks of Lake Como, Italy. A stay at the 18th century villa is an intimate affair. With only 24 rooms, a relaxed walk-in kitchen set up, and an eat anywhere policy, it’s a far cry from the stuffyness of many high-end properties at its pricepoint. 💡 Tips and Advice/Things not to do

Steal from Hotel’s (and not just toiletries)

We’ve just seen the best 50 hotels from around the world and all of them have something to teach us if we look for the lessons. In fact, just staying at your local Premiere Inn can give you an invaluable insight into something you could add/change/remove/improve from your offering. Here are some ideas:

Professional Photography: Hotels employ skilled photographers to capture their property's best angles and features. These high-quality images are essential because they create a compelling first impression and help potential guests visualize their stay, ultimately leading to higher bookings.

Online Presence: Hotels often have dedicated marketing teams and resources to establish a strong online presence. They utilize well-designed websites, listing on multiple booking platforms, and digital marketing strategies to reach a broader audience and increase online visibility, making it easier for potential guests to find and book their accommodations.

Consistent Branding: Hotels invest in branding to create a unique and memorable identity. A strong brand image builds trust and recognition, making it more likely for guests to choose their establishment over others in a competitive market.

Customer Reviews: Hotels actively encourage and manage guest reviews. Positive reviews serve as powerful endorsements and can influence potential guests' decisions. Moreover, addressing negative feedback promptly and professionally demonstrates a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Guest Communication: Hotels prioritize effective guest communication. They provide clear and timely responses to inquiries, share important information, and maintain open lines of communication before, during, and after a guest's stay. This proactive approach enhances the guest experience and minimizes misunderstandings.

Cleanliness and Maintenance: Hotels have dedicated housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure the property is clean, well-maintained, and safe. These efforts create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for guests, leading to positive reviews and repeat bookings.

Personal Touch: To foster guest loyalty, hotels often incorporate personal touches. These can include welcome amenities, customized recommendations, or follow-up communication after the stay. Such gestures enhance the guest experience, foster positive memories, and encourage guests to return or refer others.

By understanding why hotels excel in these areas, you can adapt their successful strategies to enhance your holiday let house's marketing, operations, and overall guest satisfaction.
